GRE Course Syllabus

Class 1: An introduction to the GRE and a first practice test.

Class 2: Quantitative -- Basic math review.

This class will review multiple basic math concepts, including terminology, prime numbers, prime factorization, the order of operations, solving for single and multiple variables, fractions, decimals, and percents.

Class 3: Verbal -- Reading Comprehension Strategy and Sentence Completion

This class will introduce reading comprehension strategy and question types. The second half of the class will introduce the approach for sentence completion questions.

Class 4: Quantitative -- Exponents, Roots, and Quadratics.

This class will review the principle rules behind exponents and roots and how these principles are tested on the GRE. This class will also cover quadratics and problem-solving strategies.

Class 5: Verbal -- Analogies, Antonyms, and Vocabulary Building

This class will introduce the analogy and antonym question types and discuss strategies for each. This class will also include vocabulary-building games.

Class 6: Quantitative -- Ratios, Rates, and Probability.

This class will teach the math behind ratios, proportions, rates, and probability. The class will also look at problems discussing combinations, permutations, and groups.

Class 7: Verbal -- The Analytical Writing Assessment and Common Reading Comp Templates

This class will cover both essays for the analytical writing assessment. The second half of this class is devoted to identifying common Reading Comprehension templates to make reading faster and simpler.

Class 8: Quantitative -- Geometry

This class will review the basics of geometry and visit a few novel geometry concepts to make GRE geometry problems faster and simpler to solve.

Class 9: Quantitative -- Data Analysis

This class will cover every type of chart and table found on the GRE, the common questions that accompany each type of chart, and how to simplify data analysis questions.

Class 10: Verbal -- Analogies and Sentence Completion, Part II.

This class will revisit analogies, with a focus on parts of speech. The second half of the class will discuss sentence completion, with a focus on finding verbal clues in the sentences.

Class 11: Quantitative -- Word problems and Math Review

This class will provide a basic review of the math concepts, beginning with a brief focus on word problems.

Class 12: Review Class

A vast review of both verbal and quantitative concepts in preparation for the GRE.
